You may have heard about the recent BBC Panorama programme about maternity services in Gloucestershire.

We realise that this may be distressing and worrying for you, especially if you are currently pregnant or have had your own difficult maternity experience in Gloucestershire.

The Trust have put together some FAQs to help explain some of the points that may be raised in the programme, as well as guidance on where to go if you would like to share your experience. Visit www.gloshospitals.nhs.uk/maternity-bbc-faqs

Thank you to everyone has shared thoughts and experiences on our social media posts. We will be collecting all comments and using them to help shape our work over the coming weeks.

We have organised some drop-in sessions where you can come along and speak to us about your experiences or thoughts following the programme. These sessions are open to all, whether you have given birth a few years ago, more recently, are currently pregnant or are a staff member or community group representative working with those on their maternity journey.

The sessions are:

We may add further sessions (to include an evening session) so please keep an eye on our Facebook page if you can’t make any of the above.

We will also be holding a Facebook live chat with senior staff from the maternity service, next Wednesday 7th February at 8pm. This will take place live on our Facebook page, and you will be able to add questions in the comments. You can also submit questions in advance via Facebook message or by email to glicb.glosmvp@nhs.net.

As always, we are listening to your feedback. Our surveys are always open, and cover your maternity journey right from your first midwife appointment through to the Health Visiting service. You can find our surveys here.
